Partnerships

Saint and Sofia passionately believes in our social responsibility to have a positive impact. We're proud to support the important work of British institutions and charities in developing the arts, science and sustainability. Every year we make donations and raise funds to help support their important work. In 2021, we’ll donate over £100,000 to these partnerships to support their vital work.

As part of our partnership with the Natural History Museum, we’ve been diving into their archives to select some of our favourite images and illustrations. We’ve turned these into unique and beautiful wall prints - the perfect addition to your home. We donate proceeds from the sale of every wall print to support the work of the Museum.

The Natural History Museum is a world-leading science research centre and the most-visited natural history museum in Europe, with collections comprising over 80 million specimens. The Museum’s 300 scientists are contributing critical data to help the global fight to save the future of the planet from the major threats of climate change and biodiversity loss.

The prince's trust

SUPPORTING WOMEN ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Each year we donate £5 from every order, globally, to the Prince’s Trust to support their campaign for Women Supporting Women on 8th March. This is a passionate group who are committed to changing the lives of young women at The Prince’s Trust, helping them gain the skills needed to live, learn and earn. Smart works

Helping women fulfil their potential

Saint and Sofia donates select items from our collections to Smart Works. Started in 2013, Smartworks is a UK based charity that offers a dressing and coaching service designed to help their clients be the best version of themselves at a crucial moment in their lives - when applying for a new job. In the last 8 years, they have helped over 20,000 women in eight regional centres across the UK.

Job interviews are difficult and a significant barrier to success. Without the necessary self-belief and practical tools, it is easy to become trapped in a cycle of failed interviews and unemployment. The impact of the pandemic has heightened this and increased pressure to succeed at job interviews, meaning our support has never been more needed.

We believe in the power of clothes and coaching to transform a woman’s confidence. Our service is carefully designed, with kindness and respect at the heart of everything we do. It is about much more than the clothes she is gifted: it is about what the clothes allow each woman to become. When she looks in the mirror, she begins to see hope and possibility for a better future. Each client receives a bespoke dressing consultation with two trained volunteers, to find a beautiful and high-quality interview outfit that will fill her with confidence. This is free of charge and the clothes are hers to keep.

Central saint martins

SUPPORTING THE CREATIVE DESIGN TALENT OF THE FUTURE

Saint and Sofia is working with Central Saint Martins to support young, exciting designers by offering them work placements in our design team and commissioning design and print work. UAL Central Saint Martins is one of the most recognised schools in the world for the quality of its teaching on fashion and design. They are a world-renowned arts and design college bringing together a diverse range of creative practices under one roof. Megan Aylott who is the Head of Design at Saint and Sofia graduated from Central Saint Martins and knows the first hand the challenges that many students can face. With her help, we’re proud to be supporting the future of Britain’s design talent.

Trees for cities

PLANTING TREES TO REDUCE CLIMATE CHANGE

We have donated to Trees for Cities to plant trees in urban areas. In 2019 we planted over 1,700 trees to help reduce the impact of climate change. This is part of our new initiative called Plant to help plant over 10 million trees in 10 years, by 2030.

Trees for Cities have planted over 1 million trees with the help of over 6,000 volunteers. Based in the UK, they are the only charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by planting trees in cities. They get stuck in with local communities to cultivate lasting change in their neighbourhoods – whether it’s revitalising forgotten spaces, creating healthier environments or getting people excited about growing, foraging and eating healthy food.

Planting trees can help reduce the amount of carbon and increase the amount of oxygen to reduce the impact of climate change.
