OUR FAVOURITE TRENDS FOR SS24

1st August, 2024 - By Emily Weatherill

Now that summer is finally here, it’s time to take a glimpse at the trends that you’ll be seeing throughout the season. We’ve picked some of our favourite styles from the SS24 collection to help you elevate your summer look and make every moment a stylish one to remember.

TREND: WHITE NOISE

While previous seasons saw the rise of logomania and bold hues, SS24 tones it down to a muted finish with a flurry of white. But we have to admit, this trend feels like a breath of fresh air after the darker colours of AW23.

Go big or go home with this trend by slipping into a full co-ord like our Keller Wide Leg Trousers and the Esme Zip Up Top in light beige. That’s right, White Noise doesn’t mean everything has to be HEX CODE #FFFFFF. In fact, our stylist Fleur says only those with cooler skin tones should opt for a bright white; those with warmer tones look best with creams and off-whites.

You can pair this co-ord with a Selene Bag and the  Studded Sutton Mules for an extra pop of colour. Or use it as two separates and style it with other pieces in your wardrobe – an easy way to continue the White Noise trend without going for the full white ensemble.

TREND: HIGH-WAISTED TROUSERS

Our stylist Amber describes these as instant leg-lengtheners and a flattering trouser design on almost every body shape. High-waisted trousers are best worn with slim-fitting or short, boxy tees to help highlight your waist and accentuate your figure. A T-shirt like our Finsbury Crew Neck is perfect and can be tucked in if it sits too close to your hips. If SS24 will be your first foray into the world of high-waisted trousers, we’ve picked out our three best-selling designs to help you get started.

Sienna High-Waisted Pants

If spring florals aren’t your thing, these patterned trousers provide a grungy take on the seasonal blooms. We suggest styling them with a black cami and blazer; our Astrid Blazer is ideal as the cropped silhouette is perfect for accentuating that waistline against the high-rise of the trousers.

CAMBRIDGE TROUSERS

This tailored design is a formal take on the high-waisted trend. We lean into this air of sophistication by pairing it with a colour-contrasting cami and the matching Cambridge Blazer. Unlike the Astrid Blazer, this oversized style falls way past the waist, past the hip, and onto the upper thigh. A longline silhouette like this is perfect for continuing to accentuate your waist without having it on show. Plus, the combination of wide-leg tailored trousers and oversized blazers creates the perfect off-duty look.

bowie jeans

Thanks to their slim-fitting upper portion and flared cuff, the Bowie Jeans beautifully flatter curvy figures – that flared leg works to balance out the bottom half of your frame. They’re infused with a hint of stretch to ensure you feel comfortable even with the slimmer-fitting waistband. We’ve paired them with the Tilda Halterneck, Dallas Boots (read our styling tips on boots to find other ways to wear them), and the Romona Hat for a Western-inspired evening look.

metallics

We have to say, we’re big fans of the metallic trend here at Saint and Sofia – it’s a great way to add a bit of luxe and some style personality to your look. But how are we wearing it? Well, you could start small and choose to incorporate a touch of metallic to your outfit in the form of jewellery. The Molten Disc Necklace would be our go-to in that case – it adds a delicate glimmer to your decolletage when wearing skin-baring V-necklines.

ODETTE HEELS

To increase the vibrancy, take the metallic trend down to your shoes with the Odette heels in silver. You can pair them with the Joselyn dress for those seasonal garden parties or with the Marlow Trousers and Turn Up Contrast Tee for those office days that need a touch of sparkle.
